Comsearch Named Spectrum Manager and Wireless Home Integrator for CTIA WIRELESS 2005

--Andrew Corporation also to showcase new capabilities and solutions for RF footprint--
March 1, 2005 ORLAND PARK, Ill.

The capabilities that make Comsearch, an Andrew Corporation company, the market leader in complex radio spectrum management services and systems will be on full display March 14-16 in New Orleans as it serves as official spectrum manager for the CTIA-The Wireless Association's WIRELESS 2005 trade show and systems integrator for the show's new Wireless Home showcase.

"CTIA WIRELESS 2005, one of the largest and most highly attended wireless shows in the technology, telecommunication, and computing space, is committed to providing attendees and exhibitors a positive show experience," said Robert Mesirow, vice president of operations for CTIA. "Comsearch's expanded procedures for tracking, registering, and monitoring all wireless demonstrations is critical to preventing unnecessary radio frequency interference between exhibitors or to carriers in the New Orleans market. Comsearch's proficiency in providing comprehensive spectrum management and integration services is a vital part of the overall success of CTIA WIRELESS 2005."

In addition, Andrew will showcase to wireless operators and original equipment manufacturers at its exhibit (booth #2845) new capabilities and solutions that can lower cost and improve network performance. Andrew experts will demonstrate how the company supports the entire radio frequency footprint with power amplifiers, filters and combiners, distributed coverage and capacity, transmission line systems, antennas, spectrum management, wireless location, and network management and optimization.

In its eighth consecutive year as official spectrum manager at CTIA WIRELESS, Comsearch will ensure that the radio frequencies used in demonstrations by the hundreds of exhibitors and the attending high density of wireless devices in use do not interfere with each other and with other licensed wireless operations in the area. Comsearch's spectrum management process efficiently addresses the interference and frequency coordination issues for CTIA's many temporary wireless demonstrations. Using its iQ-Clear(TM)frequency analysis software and engineering expertise, Comsearch will provide a full range of spectrum management services prior to and during the show. Comsearch will coordinate with PCS licensees in the area, perform interference analysis and frequency coordination with microwave incumbents, coordinate frequency allocation and use between exhibitors, and monitor on-site interference.

A major addition to this year's CTIA show is the 7,000 square foot Wireless Home, a showcase of advanced communications and interactive technology within a home erected on the floor of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The home will bring wireless technologies to life in a tangible way, enabling visitors to interact with and experience wireless home networking at its fullest potential. In response to CTIA's request, Comsearch will integrate and manage the wireless device demonstrations within the wireless home. Comsearch will extend its spectrum management experience and expertise into the wireless home project to: thoroughly evaluate wireless devices displayed in the home and their frequency requirements, analyze interoperability, coordinate frequencies and device placements within the home, and perform pre-show testing and additional interference monitoring.

"Comsearch is proud to participate in CTIA's annual show as the official spectrum manager and Wireless Home integrator," said Chris Hardy, vice president and general manager, Comsearch. "The debut of the Wireless Home provides an exciting opportunity to showcase many devices, products, and applications that embody the wireless dream home, where visitors can truly appreciate and experience wireless home networking at its fullest. Comsearch's continued support to exhibitors demonstrating wireless devices on the show floor and our involvement in managing the wireless devices in the Wireless Home will ensure a quality show experience for everyone."
