The first installation of Andrew Corporation’s new platform for mobile caller location is signaling a move to next generation capabilities for handset- and network-based location services.
Andrew’s next generation Geometrix® Mobile Location Center platform is being installed by a prominent North American operator throughout its network. This platform consolidates all handset- and network-based mobile location methods onto a compact carrier-grade hardware platform, providing operators total flexibility to support location-based services.
Geometrix, the world’s most complete and versatile high-performance wireless location system, now provides unprecedented cost-effectiveness and ease of operation as operators address the evolution to next generation applications for future location-based services with minimum risk or changes to existing network infrastructure.
