CommScope’s new field terminated Category 6A and Category 6 modular plugs are now available globally. These modular plugs comply with the Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL) method under the ANSI-TIA 586.2-D standard. MPTL offers installation flexibility of IoT sensors and devices by enabling cables to be directly connected to devices without the requirement of additional outlets and patch cords. The optimized design with minimal components provides a simple and fast termination process and is ideal for hard to access ceiling installations. Various colored anti-snag clips for customized plug identification are also available.

CommScope has updated the M4800 modular panel portfolio, adding two new panels for the Uniprise Category 6A, 6 and 5e jacks. Key Points: 760246228 (flat) and 760246320 (angled) panels are for Uniprise Category 6A, 6 and 5e Jacks and for NAR only; 760104307 (flat) and 760109736 (angled) panels are for SYSTIMAX Category 5e Jacks; 760105429 (flat) and 760109744 (angled) panels are for SYSTIMAX Category 6A and 6 Jacks.

Trends are showing operators are installing more power to support higher demands from RRUs and increased data traffic. Rather than installing thicker, more expensive copper cables, CommScope developed the new PowerShift 2000FA to optimize the transmission of electrical power by regulating voltage at the RRU. This keeps -54 volts constant at RRUs and increases the amount of time your battery backup runs, plus simplifies installation and saves CapEx. PowerShift 2000FA provides 2,000 watts per RRU and supports up to four RRUs in a single rack unit chassis. Front inputs make connections easy in tight spaces, and modules are hot swappable.

It is no different in the world of communications - especially with tower loading. CommScope is releasing a new antenna that will more efficiently redirect wind around the antenna, reducing wind load, compared to an antenna with a planar radome. The Low Wind Load Antenna uses a hard polymer molded radome to more aerodynamically direct the axial force of wind around the antenna.
