ARRIS Powers Verizon FiOS Quantum TV

Arris Team April 2, 2014

ARRIS believes that TV should continue to evolve—becoming smarter, more personalized, and better connected. This month, when you sign up for Verizon's new FiOS Quantum TV experience, that's exactly what you'll get.

We teamed up with Verizon to give subscribers your media, your way. On FiOS Quantum TV,VMS1100_front that means you can store over 200 hours of HD content, record up to 12 programs simultaneously with two Verizon Video Media Servers (VMS), pause and play live TV in different rooms, and watch live, recorded, and VOD content, on any connected device, anywhere in your home.

Welcome to the future of TV.

FiOS Quantum TV is powered by the Verizon Video Media Server, which is built around the ARRIS VMS1100 media server and IPC1100 video client. The server manages all of your content and delivers it to your connected devices around the home and up to five IPC1100 clients, which connect to each of your TVs. It's a centralized, more efficient way of getting content where you want it.

The bottom line: everyone gets to watch what they want, at the same time, all throughout the house.

This new system for video distribution is just the beginning. As the gateway evolves to become the hub of tomorrow's connected home, we'll be working with customers like Verizon to bring you the new apps, media formats, and services that are defining tomorrow's TV experiences.

In the meantime, sit back, relax, and enjoy your favorite content. Leave Inventing the Future of TV part to us.
