Optimized Wi-Fi through switching

Wi-Fi 6 was built to handle more devices and bandwidth-hungry applications, but a single Wi-Fi 6 client can quickly overtax existing 1 GbE backhaul links on a typical access point. CommScope’s Ruckus multi-gigabit access switches liberate backhaul performance bottlenecks—delivering up to 10 Gbps per port. Furthermore, multi-gigabit switches offer up to 90 watts per port and up to 1,500 watts of total Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) budget along with uplinks of up to 100 Gbps to future-proof any network.

Use existing cabling

Double the capacity per port with existing Category 5e Ethernet cabling with 2.5 Gbps multi-gigabit APs and ICX Z-Series switches. Double that again, to 5 Gbps, with Category 6 or 6A installed. CommScope delivers this with our flagship Ruckus APs or ICX Z-Series switches with 2.5/5/10 GbE ports.
