Frank B. “Burk” Wyatt, II is senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary (chief legal officer) at CommScope, a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks. Mr. Wyatt began his career in 1996 at CommScope as the company’s first chief legal officer, namely the general counsel and secretary. Vice president was added to his title in when he helped CommScope become a public company traded on the New York Stock Exchange in 1997. He was subsequently promoted to his current position, senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary.
In 2011, CommScope became a private company owned by funds affiliated with The Carlyle Group. Mr. Wyatt guided the company through this acquisition and as well as its IPO in 2013, making CommScope a publicly traded company for the second time on NASDAQ.
Mr. Wyatt holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University. He has a juris doctorate degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
