Fiber-to-the Antenna Connectivity for Outdoor Macro Cell Sites
Elevate your FTTA deployments with innovative HELIAX® solutions
From macro sites to small cells, the RF path is growing more diverse, complex and crowded. Every installation has unique fiber-to-the-antenna (FTTA) requirements. Researching and vetting the best FTTA solution for each site takes time and resources, both of which are in short supply. CommScope Outdoor Wireless Network segment makes it easy. Our HELIAX FTTA portfolio provides one source of proven, future-ready connectivity solutions for any application and challenges.
For tower, rooftop and small cell deployments requiring design flexibility and lower initial cost, HELIAX Discrete FTTA solutions keep your options open. Separate fiber and power cables enable a highly customizable solution—connector types to cable lengths—that also reduces non-recyclable waste and your carbon footprint. The established and familiar design also reduces installation time and offers lower material costs, making it more cost-effective than OEMs’ bundled solutions.
HELIAX trunk-to-breakout box
CommScope’s HELIAX trunk-to-breakout-box (BOB) FTTA solution gives mobile network operators (MNOs) the agility, speed and accelerated deployment needed to keep pace with their network’s evolution. Instead of many discrete homerun fibers and power cables, the solution uses a single trunk cable containing up to 32 fibers and 16 power conductors that terminate at a BOB located just below the RRUs. With just one cable to prep, hoist and connect, the trunk-to-BOB solution requires only one installer, fewer cable brackets, less tower loading and less installation time.
The HELIAX Modular FTTA solution provides a highly customizable and fast-deploying approach to continual network modernization. It consists of configurable fiber, power or hybrid trunks plus a variety of plug-and-play breakout solutions, including CommScope’s stackable and recyclable plug-and-play SkyBlox™. Once deployed, upgrading the Modular FTTA solution is as easy as replacing or adding jumpers. It’s the easiest way to support continued network growth while minimizing your FTTA footprint.
Because FTTA is your fiber to the future
With more ways to connect and power more radios, RRUs and antennas faster and easier, CommScope keeps you future-ready, always prepared. And, because you can use any HELIAX FTTA connectivity solution with any cabling solution, your options are virtually unlimited. Rely on CommScope for a smarter, more flexible FTTA strategy.
