CommScope to Showcase Unified Brand Identity At CommunicAsia 2011 in Singapore

June 15, 2011 SINGAPORE

CommScope, Inc., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, will showcase its new brand identity along with its full portfolio of innovative solutions for the wireless, broadband and enterprise markets during CommunicAsia 2011, held 21–24 June, 2011 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.

This brand makeover is the first for CommScope following acquisitions of Avaya’s Connectivity Solutions division in 2003 and Andrew Corporation in 2007. With its new identity, CommScope marks a new phase in its corporate growth and brings its businesses serving the wireless, broadband and enterprise markets under one common brand.

“The new CommScope corporate identity tells a more unified story to customers in all the markets we serve,” said Navin Vohra, vice president, Wireless Sales, Asia Pacific, CommScope. “Our innovative infrastructure solutions for wired and wireless networks enable high-bandwidth voice, data, and video applications everywhere—at home, at work and on the go. Through every wave of technology evolution, CommScope helps people, businesses, and the world connect and evolve.”

With the growth of mobile data networks, the lines between enterprise and wide area networks are being blurred. CommScope’s re-branding reflects its commitment to providing end-to-end critical infrastructure solutions to customers how and where they are needed.

“This is an exciting time for us as we embark on a new chapter of growth as a company,” said Dr. Ispran Kandasamy, vice president, Enterprise Sales, Asia Pacific, CommScope. “As new applications and technologies roll out in Asia Pacific, there is an increasing demand for seamless and ubiquitous performance across all networks. With our expertise in wireless, broadband and enterprise, CommScope can help customers optimize and integrate networks with advanced solutions for performance tuning, ease of management and cost effectiveness.”

At this year’s CommunicAsia, CommScope experts will be delivering presentations on key issues facing the wireless industry today—wireless backhaul, location-based services and performance considerations for multi-band antennas:

  • Tuesday, 21 June, 4:10 – 4:30 p.m. on Level 3, Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre – Dipesh Rattan, product line manager, Microwave Systems, will share insight on the continuing improvements in microwave and millimetre wave antenna systems and how ill-formed cost cutting strategies can negatively impact the performance of advanced wireless backhaul networks.
  • Thursday, 23 June, 11:10 –11:30 a.m. on Level 3, Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre – Conrad Labonte, director of business development, Network Solutions, will elaborate on the options mobile operators have to increase revenues by exploiting untapped potential due the real time nature of mobile networks.
  • Thursday, 23 June, 2:50 – 3:10 p.m. on Level 3, Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre – He Jin Chun, principal electrical engineer, Base Station Antenna Systems, will discuss the characteristics and performance of multi-band and multi-RET antennas.
  • Thursday, 23 June, 3:50 – 4:30 p.m. on Level 3, Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre – He Jin Chun will join a roundtable discussion on the challenge of spectrum fragmentation.

At CommunicAsia 2011, CommScope will also highlight its new PC-based, single-user edition of its flagship microwave planning solution, iQ.link®XG Solo. The new microwave network design and management tool was developed to reach out to smaller wireless operators and OEM managed service providers. The iQ.linkXG Solo solution enables the rapid design and management of microwave links for backhaul or other fixed point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks, while maximizing spectrum efficiency.

CommScope will exhibit on Level 1, Hall B in Booth 1J3-01, which will feature the company’s new logo, colours and interactive touch screens to showcase the company’s end-to-end infrastructure solutions across the wireless, broadband and enterprise markets.

iQ.link is a registered trademark of CommScope, Inc.
